When I named it "Movement Ayahuasca," I didn't realize how much it would resonate with people and spark so much curiosity. To understand its origin, let me take you back to a moment that completely shifted my perspective on the power of movement.
I was working with a client who had been on several ayahuasca journeys. He'd done the ceremonies, had the visions, and experienced the breakthroughs many describe. Yet, when he came to me, he was still searching and carrying physical and emotional tension that he couldn't shake.
During our 90-minute session, I did what I always do: I assessed his body, movement patterns, and breath. I guided him through exercises designed to strip away compensations and force his body to connect in a raw and real way. We used breathwork to regulate his nervous system and explored movement patterns that unlocked dormant parts of his body and mind.
At the end of the session, he sat there, catching his breath, visibly shaken in the best way possible. And then he said something I'll never forget:
"This is more direct and more powerful than any ayahuasca trip I've ever done."
That was my lightbulb moment. I realized that we were using movement, breath, and intensity to create a direct connection to the self without substances. It was raw, grounded, and deeply human. That's when the name hit me: Movement Ayahuasca.
What the Experience Entails
Movement Ayahuasca is about transformation. But instead of drinking something external, you're moving through it. It's not about passive and submissive ways of exploring; it's about confronting, being active, and being present with your actions.
The process begins by breaking down your movement, revealing the compensations and imbalances that you've been carrying. Through intentional movement, breathwork, and physical intensity, we peel back the layers, allowing you to reconnect with your body and mind in ways you've never experienced.
Breathwork (Swami) is at the core of this journey. It's not just about calming the mind and connecting the mind and body so they can communicate. From there, we use physical intensity to challenge you and force you to show up fully in the moment.
We balance the intensity with active meditation and introspection. In these sessions, you confront the emotional patterns, narratives, and fears holding you back. It's not easy, but it's necessary.
Why It Matters
If you're here, it's because something in you knows it's time to change. Maybe it's anxiety. It could be indecision. It could be the feeling that you're capable of more, but you can't quite access it.
Movement Ayahuasca isn't about fixing you. It's about giving you the tools to unlock what's already there. You'll leave lighter, stronger, and more connected to your purpose.
That client's words stuck with me because they validated something I've always believed: transformation is available to all of us. It doesn't require anything external: movement, breath, and the courage to show up.
This is Movement Ayahuasca. It's not a trip; it's a journey that is yours to take.
