A Guided Breathwork Experience

SWAMI

Learn to create tension and let it go on purpose — instead of bracing, pushing through, or shutting down.

This is a paid 1:1 intro call with Richard. $30 is credited toward your service if you move forward.

Where it came from

Eight years in the making.

SWAMI is the breathwork methodology I spent eight years developing. It is not just about breathing — it is about reconnecting with yourself physically, mentally, and emotionally. Breath has always been more than a tool for me. It is a bridge.

I developed SWAMI over eight years of coaching people out of pain — first my own, after a rock slide shattered my hip in more than thirty pieces. Breath was the only thing I could train from a bed. It turned out to be the thing that unlocked everything else.

The mechanism

What SWAMI actually does to your nervous system.

Contract on the inhale, release on the exhale

SWAMI uses an active approach: you contract muscles during inhalation and relax them on exhalation. It sounds simple, and the impact is profound. The process up-regulates and down-regulates the nervous system, creating a balance that lets you feel in control, grounded, and safe inside yourself.

Better vagal tone, better internal communication

One key principle of SWAMI is improving vagal tone, which enhances communication between the brain, heart, diaphragm, and organs. When that connection is strong, you feel an internal sense of safety, confidence, and awareness — the foundation for navigating anything difficult.

Awareness first, then movement

Intentional breathing creates awareness of what is happening in your body and mind. But awareness alone is not enough. It is in movement that you begin to take action, embody the change, and build the confidence that makes it last. SWAMI is the starting point; movement makes it sustainable.

What happens in a session.

  • You’ll be lying on the floor or a mat for most of the session — no equipment needed.
  • Clear step-by-step coaching through breath patterns paired with specific muscle contractions and positions.
  • A smooth inhale through the nose and a relaxed exhale through the lips to raise vagal tone and HRV.
  • You can keep your camera off the whole time if you prefer privacy.
  • Time at the end for questions and for what came up during the practice.

Who it's for.

  • You feel stressed, tight, or disconnected from your body.
  • You hold your breath or brace when things get hard.
  • You want a nervous-system practice that doesn’t require a gym or an hour of stretching.
  • You’re a coach who wants to feel the practice before teaching it.

Peace, joy, and motivation

What Moved Academy has given me is a significantly more profound approach to coach people in what they should actually be feeling in their bodies — not just the positions they should hit, but what that should feel like within the body.
